Biosketch:

Corey Hoydic is a junior at Penn State and member of the Schreyer Honors College, with the intention to graduate with a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and a minor in Energy Business & Finance. He enjoys playing several instruments, including the guitar, bass, and drums, as well as camping, boating, gaming, and collecting vinyl records. His research involves analyzing the spatial connectivity in different images, developing tools and quantitative analyses that can detect key characteristics of images, with a goal of applying these feature- and pattern-recognition devices to characteristics in petroleum reservoirs.
